              Dr. Mathias Reif

              Partner // Executive Partner (Cologne) // Head of Corporate & M&A (Germany)

              Mathias is the lead corporate/M&A partner of Germany with more than 18 years of experience. He mainly advises on national & international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, squeeze-outs and restructurings with a special focus on the tech and media sector.

              Mathias heads the commercial & distribution law practice group of DWF Germany and works predominately on cross-border agreements as well as national and international franchise and trade agent agreements.

              Mathias advises on a range of cross-border M&A transactions, corporate and commercial law projects as well as assisting companies on the development or expansion of their operations, with particular expertise in drafting international and national franchising and agency agreements.

              Mathias is an internationally educated German Lawyer/Rechtsanwalt and having lived in various countries worldwide (UK, USA, Switzerland and Malaysia), before he joined Deutsche Telekom/ T-Mobile International AG in 2002, first as Senior Legal Counsel and then as Head of the M&A department. Since 2008 he has worked in private practice.
